Kevin Kruger, one of the most inspiring BBQers on the web, made a great post on the topic of BBQ experience when cooking a brisket. Very nicely said. Since making a good Brisket is often considered the pinnacle of BBQ skills, Kevin helps illustrate why that can be so elusive.
The New York Times has an article [Got a Crowd Coming Over? Think Big Cuts of Meat](registration probably required) about how to entertain for groups by cooking large cuts of meat. While it is a good article, I think it is funny how the cuisine they proffer is really just bbq sans the smoker.
